Chart on Goldman Sachs (GS) - Monthy

For many years, I have noted to the members of Elliottwavetrader and The Market Pinball Wizard that I have not been a fan of banks. In fact, they are on my list of stocks that I intend on shorting once we move towards the 2023 time frame. But, while many are focused upon the upside potential in various banks in the coming 2-3 years, I have been quite concerned about the goals of many of these banks, based upon some of the moves they have made over the past few years. As an example, a few years ago, Goldman Sachs opened its door to public accounts.

Sector Watch: Financials - XLF, JPM, BRK.B, BAC, & More

In this webinar we looked at theFinancial SPDRs (XLF) and many of the largest components. Many have similar potential to the broad market, for a "small" degree fade and then another swing up in their respective patterns off the Dec 2018 low. Depending on the chart, this small "four-five" can either be completing a (B) or (X) wave, or an extension of the prior Primary 3 or equivalent. XLF is able to count either way. In most instances the expectation upon completion of that final swing or on failure to hold support is a larger (A)(B)(C) correction unfolding.

Why Does Goldman Sachs Want Your Deposit Money?

Those that follow my analysis closely know that I am not a fan of the big banks. In fact, I find most of their charts quite unhealthy from a long term perspective. When you consider that most stocks in the overall market are well above the highs they struck back at the 2007 stock market top, and that Goldman Sachs is still well below its 2007 high, it does not take a brain surgeon to recognize that something is very wrong here.
