ElliottWave by itself does not attempt to predict timing. It is a far more accurate predictor of highest probability path and price. But we can use the projected path along with previous speed/slope of moves TLs, FibFans and other tools to get a general idea of POTENTIAL timing.
What we urge and caution against is using our charts and estimate w/ shorter dated options. A few hours longer than initially expected in a (4)th can zap some of the previous momentum a move had delaying the 5th just a bit more and all of that can be murder on shorter dated and nekked options particularly when they have entered the "theta slope of death".
Keep in mind that our analysis is used to a VERY wide spectrum of Investors/Traders. And sometimes subwaves are illustrated more for a general idea of the path but the more detail is shown (particularly w/ other tools) the greater the attempt to refine the timing PROJECTIONS.
But nothing is more frustrating then having the right "Line" on a long lag putt but leaving it 3ft short of the hole.
