Any move over 2896 starts to tip the scales in favor of "another" wave (ii) counting a low in this 2870 region as abc down for (i) in an ED for the circle c wave. (orange path in ES/SPX) NQ would then count as the blue LD for (i).

But as long as this stays under the 2896 region it can continue to cascade down in the (iii) of c of A toward 2700s.
