As the Mood Turns

As far as mood goes, today's is about as serious as it gets. The mood data from internet search trends points to a shift from somber to a more feisty tone after today (that also means we're on a "serious news" watch through tomorrow). This change should coincide with the markets getting energized as well. The only thing that would get in the way of this would be a flip in mood vs. effect which would turn it all upside down and both mood and markets would again be de-energized. So far, that is not showing up (through at least Thursday), but such a signal flip is coming soon so I'm mentioning it.
