A Simple Thank You Is Not Enough

Another year has gone by at Elliottwavetrader, and I am humbled and amazed that we celebrate our 15^th anniversary today. I really have no words that can truly express my appreciation and gratitude to all our analysts and staff for their exceptional work through the years, my partner Rich who has been not only the best partner anyone could ever have prayed for but also an amazing friend, and most importantly, to all of you for putting your trust and faith in our work all these years.

Clearly, no man stands alone. And that applies to me more so than most. While I have certainly had my challenges in life, I have been blessed in so many ways.

First, I am blessed to be able to work day in and day out with the most amazing group of people. Each and every one of our analysts shows a care, concern, and dedication to our member base that I have not ever seen on any other website, or in any other business for that matter. Because of them, this little haven on the internet is not driven as a pure business, but as a community which cares and helps out others in so many ways beyond stock market analysis. 

Yet, their analysis is also considered among the best in the world.  I think you all have seen the true brilliance in the work of our entire analyst team. Thank you for your exceptional work, dedication, and care all these years.

For those that have been with us for many years, you have undoubtedly seen how this site runs more smoothly than any other you likely have visited. With regard to the stability and elegance of the website, we all owe a sense of extreme gratitude to our head of IT Jeff. He has done some of the most incredible things with this site, which I could never have imagined when we launched this venture publicly 15 years ago. Jeff, thank you to you and your team for the amazing and continued work through the years and your tireless dedication to continually making us better and better.

For those that have needed customer service, I am sure you can attest to the fact that Tom is nothing less than incredible. His dedication, response, and care for each and every customer that he virtually touches leaves every member with a true sense that they have been personally cared for in their needs. In a generation where customer service has gone the way of the doodoo bird, Tom has revolutionized customer service into true customer care. And, this does not even touch upon his amazing and invaluable insights which he provides on our management team. He is truly invaluable to our organization.

I am not sure what I am able to say about my partner and close friend Rich. When one prays for a partner, you pray for one who is caring for those that work with us and our clients, excels at what they do, and is honest as the day is long. Well, I can testify that G-d not only answered my prayers, but he far exceeded anything for which I could have prayed.

Rich and his wife Tracey have not only been amazing stewards at Elliottwavetrader through the last 15 years, but have become close personal friends as well. We have been through some difficult professional and personal times together, such as our fathers passing away within a week of each other, and have helped each other through those difficult times with amazing care and concern.

Moreover, Rich and I have, together, poured our hearts and souls into this community, and, amazingly, I do not recall a time at which we have disagreed about a path to take during the last 15 years. And, one of those continued decisions was to maintain the cost of our main service at the same level it was 15 years ago. Since our ultimate goal has been to help investors do better, you can probably understand that this endeavor was not purely about making the most money we can. Consider how many businesses you know of that are still around after 15 years and have not changed their prices.

And, as I have said many times before, a business partnership is akin to a marriage. And, I have now been happily married to Rich for longer than I have been married to Sharise. (smile).

Lastly, and quite importantly, I want to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you, our members. Without you placing your trust and faith in our work, none of us would be here today.

When we opened our virtual doors 15 years ago, we began with 40 members, most of whom are still with us today. Yet, today, we have somehow grown to 8000 members strong. Without you, there would be no Elliottwavetrader. You place your trust in us each and every day, and for that, I am beyond appreciative and grateful. You have trusted us with your hard-earned money, and I hope you know how tirelessly we work to continue providing you more and more value.

Never did I imagine that our reach would be this broad and diverse. In fact, we have members from all over the world with diverse backgrounds. Our members range from those in the professional fields such as doctors, lawyers, accountants, and engineers – with many CEO’s and CFO’s of major public companies amongst them – to a large working class group of members who posses some of the best trading skills I have ever seen. And, as I noted before, we have almost 1000 money managers within our member base, many of whom add tremendous value in our virtual trading room with their decades of experience. Not only are our analysts amongst the best in the world, but so is the quality of our membership. In fact, each day I come to work, I am continually astounded by the quality of the analysis and guidance of just our members alone.

While I have had the opportunity and honor to meet many of you at our various member gatherings around the world and thank you personally, I wish I was able to shake each and every one of your hands and thank you personally for placing your trust in us for these last 15 years. And, if you are kind enough to entrust us with your loyalty for the next 15 years, then I promise that we will continually strive to improve the quality of the analysis we provide and continually earn your trust day in and day out. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

In closing this letter in the same manner in which it began, I am not sure what I have personally done to earn G-d’s blessing to be able to lead a community such as this. So, again, I want to offer my humble, deepest, and heartfelt “thank you” to each and every person who has taken the time to read this letter.
