The analysis Carolyn uses to identify key trading setups is based largely on Fibonacci ratios. Carolyn applies multiple Fibonacci price relationships (Fibonacci retracements, projections and extensions) to each chart in order to identify one of the three potential trade setups that she looks for every day. These are 1) Fibonacci Price Clusters, 2) Symmetry Setups and 3) Two-Step Pattern setups. Read more about the 3 Setups here. In many cases Carolyn will also identify time windows to alert members of possible trend changes. When the timing factors match up with the price setups, there is a relatively low risk/high probability setup.
In planning her trades and initiating a trade from a setup, Carolyn looks for EMA crossovers and pattern shifts as described in her trading plan and trigger videos and writeups. Initial trade targets are calculated using the same Fibonacci ratios, with the initial targets for a trend trade setup being the 1.272, 1.618 and then 2.618 extensions.
